When someone who has Covid-19 coughs, sneezes, or talks, they send tiny droplets with the Coronavirus into the air. That’s where a mask can help and assist in slowing the spread of the virus. Wearing a mask is not a guarantee that you cannot get Covid-19.
Together with wearing a mask, it is very important to practice; Frequently washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds If water is not available, use a Hand Sanitizer with 70% alcohol Social distancing : 6ft (approximately 2 meters) Avoid touching your face Using your Mask It is standard practice to wash masks before wear. Washing your mask daily, is as important as wearing one. Our masks are made of polly cotton, Spunbond filter and elastic. Our masks are elasticated and fit easily and comfortably around the ears. Ensure that the elastic is tight enough, or tie a small knot in the elastic. When removing your mask, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
Looking after and washing your Mask Machine Wash – ensure that the elastic of the mask does not get tangled up with items such as buttons, zips etc. Hand Wash: Lather your mask with soap, and rub for 20 seconds with warm to hot water. Rinse to ensure that all soap is removed, and leave to air-dry on a clean, disinfected surface, or tumble dry. For peace of mind, iron on the correct setting to kill any remaining germs. Never wear a damp mask Kindly note, elastic loses elasticity eventually, so at some point you may have to replace. Cotton fabric shrinks, so please handle your mask with care to prolong the life cycle.
